ABOUT THE DESIGNER: Tadao Ando (安藤 忠雄, Andō Tadao) (Osaka, September 13, 1941). Architect through self-learning. His travels together with numerous readings gave him the necessary knowledge of his trade. He visited buildings designed by famous architects such as Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, Frank Lloyd Wright and Louis Kahn before returning to Osaka in 1968 to found his studio: Tadao Ando Architects & Associates.
