Jean Marie Auguste Lurçat (Bruyères, July 1, 1892 – Saint-Paul-de-Vence, January 6, 1966) was a French painter, ceramist and upholsterer, elder brother of the architect André Lurçat. He was especially recognized for his work in tapestry, where he renewed in depth his artistic language.
